Bohning's Blazer® Pin Nock The Bohning's Blazer® Pin Nock was redesigned in 2019 to fit a wider range of nock sizes; the redesigned nocks are easily identified as they are marked with the Bohning logo. Bohning's Blazer® Pin Nock, features a raised index and weighs an average of 5 grains (324 mg). Its .106" (2.69 mm) neck is designed to fit the small diameter bowstrings typically used by recurve shooters. Not sure which Bohning's Blazer® Pin Nock you have? Bohning's Blazer® Pin Nock, small neck, is marked with the letter "R." Tech Tip: For easier insertion and indexing, apply a small amount of Bohning's Tex-Tite or Seal-Tite wax to the nock. NOT ALL BRANDS OF NOCKS ARE EQUAL. At Bohning, all nock styles must pass the following steps before market introduction: 1.) Computer simulations identify potential weak points. 2.) Destructive testing methods expose potential design flaws or material defects. 3.) Accelerated life cycle testing using a custom-made bow is performed at kinetic energy levels exceeding 110 ft-lbs (nearly twice that of most hunting bows.) A single nock must withstand over 1,000 shots or it goes back to step 1.
Proudly manufactured at Bohning's factory in Lake City, Michigan, USA.
